Siotoh has worked diligently with the Towers Rotana Dubai to negotiate the best classic and superior guest room rates that spans all the nights of the program. This eliminates the higher rates that would typically be charged in Dubai for a 4-star hotel in Dubai.The Siotoh special training rates are available for reservations made on or before Friday, August 3rd, 2012 by 5:00 PM local time, unless the hotel fills prior to this date. Reservation requests received after August 3rd, will be based on space and rate availability.

Siotoh has arranged with the Towers Rotana Hotel to have the special rates honored for reservations that occur 3 days prior to and after the main training program arrival & departure dates, based on availability and hotel limitations.

Siotoh will send information on how to make hotel reservations through the Towers Rotana Hotel once training registration has been confirmed. The daily guest room rates for training attendees are:

Single/Double – $180.00 (taxes included)

Upgraded guest rooms to Club Rotana rooms are available at an additional charge of $40.00 per night and subject to availability.

TRAINERS:

RAMA RAO VELLANKI, PhD.

Dr. Vellanki obtained his Masters degree from Louisiana State University, U.S.A in 1969, and his PhD from Indian Institute of Technology in 1974.  He has broad international experience in public sector projects – from conception to implementation. This experience stems from his time at the United Nations where he was engaged for over 40 years working across the globe. He served in China, Thailand, Vietnam, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Madagascar, Lao, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, India, among other countries. In addition to the United Nations’ job, Dr. Vellanki worked at Commonwealth Secretariat where he was engaged on large scale development projects within the Commonwealth States. As a technical adviser to FAO at the United Nations he saw firsthand why projects fail in the public sector, and did record some successes in midst of serious challenges. Dr. Vellanki’s specialty is in agriculture and infrastructure development. At the United Nations and Commonwealth Secretariat, Dr. Vellanki also worked on post harvest, storage and milling technologies.Dr. Vellanki is a retired international civil servant and he spends his retirement time between the United States and India. He engages in select consulting and training for mostly stakeholders in public sector project developments.  For him, human capacity development is a passion.


Brett Craig, MS

Mr. Craig is a Value Chain and Project Management specialist.  A product of Louisiana State University, he has over 15 years of international experience as a Project Coordinator at LSU AgCenter’s International Program and as Assistant Director of Operations for a globally renowned engineering firm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  He has worked on projects in jamaica, Barbados, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, India, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Egypt, Nigeria, Mali, Senegal, Indonesia, Honduras, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Guatemala.Mr. Craig started as a research associate at LSU AgCenter. Prior to LSU, he worked at World Financial Network National Bank. His project experience includes but not limited to feasibility, strategic planning, value chain development, reporting, and monitoring and evaluation. Mr. Craig has served as project manager for the World Bank, USAID and USDA. He did work closely with host governments in most of his projects in emerging economies. He also is a certified educator and trainer.
